Alto Us is a proudly Kiwi modular builder, transforming containers into stylish, durable, ready-to-use spaces.
We were founded with a simple belief: building doesn’t have to be hard. Backed by over 40 years of experience through Containers NZ (container supply) and General Containers (container storage), we know the industry inside out.
Now, we build for the next generation of New Zealanders: mobile entrepreneurs, remote workers, off-grid dreamers, and lifestyle lovers.
At the heart of our work is the VERTO Build System — named after the Latin word verto, meaning “to turn or transform.” It’s our modular methodology for taking raw containers and turning them into beautiful, compliant, functional spaces with speed and precision.

How it Works:

Choose your design – we offer a range of pre-engineered designs, available in our 10ft, 20ft and 40ft builds. Set layouts mean faster delivery.

Select your finish – choose from:

  • Shell only – cut outs, reinforcements and exterior ready.
  • Semi-finished – lined, insulated, floor and interior walls.
  • Turnkey – fully fitted electrical, plumbing and appliances.

We build offsite – our containers are modified and fitted out in a controlled facility for quality and speed.

We deliver and support – delivered nationwide with crane placement.

Options & Pricing:

  • Raw Base Unit – $7,499. Customise your own finish – ideal for internal installs or garage setups.
  • Corrugated Iron Finish – $13,999. Classic Kiwi style – durable and iconic.

  • Timber Stain Finish – $14,999. Warm, natural finish – great for rural or bush settings.

  • Fully Fitted Model – $18,999. Includes full internal fit-out – just connect and go.
