At Containers NZ, we’re proud to be a family-owned business with over four decades of hands-on experience in the container game. What started as a small local operation has grown into a trusted name supplying shipping containers for hire, sale, modification, and secure storage right across the North Island.

We know containers. We know our customers. And we know what it takes to deliver a great product with even better service.

Our Story

Three Generations. One Passion. Containers.

At Containers NZ, containers aren’t just our business — they’re our family legacy.

It all began in 1986 when Grandad Keith started a container repair business (Matchless Containers and Seaview Containers). In 1990, my dad, Dion, launched his own container ventures, building respected companies like Specialised Container Services, Metrobox, and Spacewise.

When Dion sold his business in 2002, a chapter closed — but the story didn’t end there.

Let Me Introduce Myself

I’m Jack Ross, and I’ve grown up surrounded by containers, tools, forklifts, and the kind of honest, hands-on work that shapes you.

Straight out of school, I joined the family business — learning everything from the ground up. And when Dad stepped back, I took the reins.

I’ve learnt from the best. I’ve seen what it takes to build something that lasts. Trust and honesty go a long way — and so does loyalty.

Today, we run a tight, trusted operation supplying containers for sale, hire, storage, and modification across the North Island. Whether you need one container or a full fleet, you’ll get straight-up advice, fast turnaround, and quality gear from people who care.

What We Stand For

Family First: We look after our people — customers and crew alike.

Do It Right: No shortcuts. Safety, service, and quality come first.

Stay Local: We’re proudly Kiwi-owned and support our local communities.

Keep It Simple: No fluff, no jargon — just solid containers and good people.
